3 pounds MDMA, half kilo cocaine seized after Upstate NY drug bust (reports)
Investigators found $2,900 in Rowley's car and another $20,865 at his home along with 672 grams -- or half a kilo -- of cocaine, according to the Watertown Daily Times. There were 28 grams of MDMA pills at Rowley's house, and another 1,554 grams of MDMA at his parents' Le Ray home. Officials considered Rowley a "major dealer," fueling addiction sales statewide, county District Attorney Kristyna Mills told the Daily Times. Andrew P. Rowley, 28, of State Street in Watertown, was arrested Thursday by the Metro-Jefferson Drug Task Force, WWNYTV reports. Investigators are working to determine if Rowley also sold drugs across border lines in Canada, according to the Daily Times.Nobody knew then that Wayne County deputies would soon conduct what officials say is the biggest cocaine bust in state history. Ashley also said former Wayne County Sheriff Darryl Woodson went to bat for him. "Six months before I took office I went to the board and asked them for some patrol cars," Ashley said. They would find out later that it was reportedly the largest cocaine bust in Mississippi history.
