Fall Fest to benefit substance abuseNACHUSA – A pork-chop lunch, petting zoo, pumpkin decorating, and face painting are just a few of the activities set for Nachusa Lutheran Home's Fall Fest from noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 30 at 1261 state Route 38.Tours of the Nachusa campus will be available and those attending can learn about Lutheran Social Services of Illinois programs in Lee County.In addition, LSSI's Project LEAD (Leaders Encouraging Abstinence from Drugs) will have its "Hidden in Plain Sight" exhibit, which lets people take a walk through a mock teenager's bedroom to identify the warning signs of underage drinking and substance abuse.
