The Post & Courier of Charleston reports the city council is Guessed to vote Tuesday on whether to ban all smoking in the city parks. The city's website tells Charleston has 120 parks by about one,800 total acres. City parks director Jason Kronsberg tells the main worry is secondhand smoke although littering of cigarette butts is too a crisis. One which doesn't is North Charleston, where the city council rejected an ordinance in 2012 to outlaw smoking in public places.
