Alaska lawmakers ban workplace smoking statewide

In many places in Alaska, bars & restaurants are continue filled by cigarette smoke, however recently, which will not be the status. The Alaska Legislature passed a bill late Saturday to ban smoking in all workplaces statewide. Current law indeed prohibits smoking in proven workplaces across the state -- including healthcare facilities, schools, childcare facilities & public meeting rooms in Gov. buildings. A bill to adopt a uniform, smoke-toll free workplace policy statewide was premier introduced by Sen. Peter Micciche (R-Soldotna) in 2014, by the backing from the American Cancer disease community. The bill includes a provision which would let societies to opt through the ban.
